Now that you’ve signed up for QuickBooks, the first thing you should do is download and install the COA (Chart of Accounts) tool from the link below:
IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU COMPLETE THIS STEP BEFORE ANY CHANGES ARE MADE AND ANY DATA IMPORTED, OR BANKS SET UP IN YOUR QUICKBOOKS INSTANCE.
This tool will automatically set up your QuickBooks instance to have the correct account structure so that you can hit the ground running and save several hours of tedious setup time.
When you click the link, it’ll prompt you to sign in to your QBO account, follow the prompts, and it will automatically import your custom COA into your QuickBooks file. Once done, you can go into QBO, go to the gear icon, look to the left and open the Chart of Accounts to see the accounts that have been added.
